This is a private tour of about 4 hours with round-trip hotel transfers in the Bintan resort area and a dedicated guide. Choose a departure time of 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 11:00, 15:00 or 16:00 when booking, and you will be picked up from your hotel lobby and taken to the sand dunes and Blue Lake.

Entry to the sand dunes and Blue Lake, a guided tour of the site and bottled water are included, and the vehicle has USB sockets and Wi-Fi.

Walk across dunes created by a former mine

This area was once a bauxite sand mine whose output was exported to Singapore in the 1980s. After mining stopped, decades of erosion, wind and heavy rain turned the remaining sand piles into desert-like hills. Your guide takes you to the best photo spots.

Take photos at the turquoise Blue Lake

From around 2017, the mining pits filled with rainwater and groundwater and became clear freshwater lakes. The turquoise color comes from sunlight reflection and the mineral content of the water. At the Blue Lake, a professional photographer with a DSLR camera takes photos for you free of charge.

Try on-site activities if you like

On site, you can also enjoy activities such as ATV rides, archery and boat rides on the Blue Lake. The cost of these activities is not included.
