Enjoy a treetop course at Forest Adventure Nagano, set on the shore of Daizahoshi Pond (大座法師池) in nagano forest village on the Iizuna Highlands (飯綱高原), Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. Wearing a dedicated harness, you cross the courses set between the trees and glide down a 150 m zip slide over the pond. Cross treetop courses
in the lakeside forest of the Iizuna Highlands
Forest Adventure is a nature-friendly outdoor park that started in France and now operates at more than 40 locations across Japan. Forest Adventure Nagano is on the shore of Daizahoshi Pond on the Iizuna Highlands, about 25 minutes by car from central Nagano. Wearing a dedicated harness and operating the safety equipment yourself, you cross the courses set between natural trees. The most popular activity is the 150 m zip slide over the pond with Mt. Iizuna in the background.
Enjoy a thrilling treetop experience on the Adventure Course
The Adventure Course makes the most of the forest for maximum thrills, crossing the treetops 6–13 m above the ground and including 4 zip slides over the pond. It is open to those aged 10+ and at least 140 cm tall. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours on average.
The Canopy Course is great for the whole family
The Canopy Course is lower and easier than the Adventure Course, so children and adults who are afraid of heights can enjoy it together with the whole family. Anyone 110 cm or taller can take part, and you get 4 zip slides in total: 2 through the forest and 2 over the pond. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours on average.
Spend the day at nagano forest village
After the activity, you can enjoy meals made with local vegetables at the café and restaurant in the same area, or have a barbecue. There are also activities besides the treetop courses, such as a trampoline and laser tag (separate fees). Nearby sights such as Togakushi Shrine and Zenkoji Temple, hot springs, soba making and pottery make it easy to plan a full day.

It is located inside nagano forest village on the Iizuna Highlands. By car, it takes about 30 minutes from Shinanomachi IC, about 40 minutes from Shinshu-Nakano IC and about 1 hour from Nagano IC. By public transport, take the Alpico Kotsu route bus [70] Togakushi Line via the Loop Bridge from Nagano Station to nagano forest village (about 35 minutes), then walk about 5 minutes.
