Charter a rickshaw
and explore ancient Kamakura
Board your rickshaw at Ebisuya Kamakura (in front of the Sannotorii gate). Each rickshaw seats up to 2 adults, and the puller guides you through Kamakura's nature, history and culture. Choose a 30-, 45- or 80-minute course.
30-minute course — the charm of the ancient capital
Start at the red torii gate, visit historic temples surrounded by lush forest, and finish with a sweeping view of the ancient capital from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
45-minute course — a rickshaw stroll through Kamakura
Enjoy the atmosphere of streets loved by writers and notable figures of the past and visit temples tucked away down side streets. The ride ends at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and Komachi-dori.
80-minute course — Kamakura Shogunate ruins and temples
Visit the ruins of the Kamakura Shogunate founded by Shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo and atmospheric temples. Enjoy history and nature while feeling the Kamakura breeze.
※ Depending on how busy the stand is on the day, you may have to wait for an available rickshaw.
※ Admission to temples, shrines and attractions is not included.
