Meet Manila's communities
with a local resident guide
Meet your guide in front of KFC in Intramuros to start the tour. Your guide is a member of the community who shares personal stories, local knowledge and the historical background that shaped these neighborhoods. The areas visited are decided in consultation with local authorities and community leaders, and safety measures are planned in advance.
Walk through the Baseco port area and see everyday life
After about 10 minutes on public transportation, arrive in the Baseco area near the Port of Manila. For about 70 minutes, walk through the neighborhood with your guide and learn about residents' lives and culture.
Hear the stories of Tondo and Smokey Mountain
Travel about 15 minutes to the Tondo area. Spend about 80 minutes exploring Tondo and the Smokey Mountain area while learning about local daily life and history.
Get around like a local by jeepney and tricycle
During the tour, you travel on local public transportation such as jeepneys and tricycles. Finally, a 5-minute ride takes you to Deca Mall in Tondo, where the tour ends.
