After hotel pickup, you visit the temples and monuments of central Vientiane one after another by vehicle with an English-speaking guide. The tour runs as a private group, with time at each site for the guide's explanations and photos. Entrance fees to all sites are included.

The tour description also introduces the COPE Visitor Centre, which tells the story of the impact of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Laos and the recovery from it.

Discover Lao Buddhist culture at Wat Si Saket and Haw Phra Kaew

At Wat Si Saket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, you can see thousands of Buddha images filling the temple. Next, explore the architecture of Haw Phra Kaew, the former royal temple that once housed the Emerald Buddha. You spend about 30 minutes at each.

Visit the Patuxai victory gate and the golden Pha That Luang

Climb Patuxai, known as Vientiane's Arc de Triomphe, for open views over the city (about 1 hour). Then visit Pha That Luang, the golden stupa regarded as the most sacred site in Laos, and learn about its cultural significance (about 1 hour 30 minutes).

Wander Buddha Park after a Lao lunch

Enjoy a Lao lunch at a local restaurant (about 1 hour). After lunch, drive about 1 hour to Buddha Park, home to more than 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues, and explore it for about an hour before returning to your hotel.
