Depart from Kuala Lumpur and explore
Ipoh's temples and old town in one day
This private tour of about 12 hours starts with pickup from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. An English-speaking driver-guide accompanies your group in an air-conditioned vehicle and introduces cave temples, colonial landmarks and local food. Breakfast, lunch and bottled water are included, and you will be dropped back at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur at the end of the tour.
Visit Buddhist temples
inside limestone caves

Spend about 30 minutes each at Perak Cave Temple, Sam Poh Tong Temple and Kek Look Tong. Perak Cave Temple is full of hidden caves and alcoves with more than 40 Buddha statues, including a 12-meter golden Buddha. At Kek Look Tong, there is also time for photos.
Discover colonial architecture
and the old town streets

See British colonial-era landmarks such as Ipoh Town Hall, Ipoh Railway Station built in 1894, and the Birch Memorial Clock Tower. The railway station was remodeled by Arthur Benison Hubback, who added domes and loggias in Neo-Moorish and Neo-Saracenic styles. You will also spend about 45 minutes at Art Of Oldtown Bijeh Timah in the old town.
Gunung Lang Recreational Park, about 5 km north of the city, covers more than 30 hectares and features a lake with a waterfall and a long walkway across the wetlands. Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island is temporarily closed, so Kellie's Castle is visited instead.
Taste white coffee
and Ipoh's local food

Start the day with breakfast in Ipoh, and your guide will show you the best places for morning tea and Ipoh's famous white coffee. At the local market, you can find Malaysian dishes such as curry noodles, sa kok (fried turnip), caramel custard, chicken rice and Hakka mee, and you can try an ice ball at a local cafe. Your guide will also introduce local snacks like tapioca chips, fried beans and muruku.
