Walk through the El Tatio geyser field
at 4,320 meters

El Tatio, meaning "crying grandfather" ("Tata-iu" in the Kunza language), is one of the highest geyser fields in the world and the largest group of geysers in the Southern Hemisphere. The geysers are most active at dawn, with water temperatures reaching 85°C. Spend about 2 hours exploring the steaming geothermal field with your guide.
Enjoy breakfast and discover
Altiplano wildlife and plants

After visiting the geysers, there is about 30 minutes for breakfast. On the way back, stop at places such as Vado de Putana and look for animals like vicuñas, llamas, rheas and viscachas, as well as high-altitude plants such as giant cacti, yareta and coirón.
See Machuca village
and Laguna Salada

From a viewpoint, look down on the small, old village of Machuca. With only a few residents, the village lives mainly from livestock grazing and cheese production. Nearby Laguna Salada is home to flocks of flamingos, ducks and gulls. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off in the center of San Pedro de Atacama.
※ Wildlife lives in its natural habitat, so sightings are not guaranteed.
