Start from the Làng Dừa Xanh (Green Coconut Village) basket boat office and spend 50 minutes on the river winding through the coconut forest. Enjoy a warm welcome from the locals and fun activities such as rowing, crab fishing and taking photos. Options include starting from the meeting point or hotel pickup, as well as options with a lantern-making class.

Row the boat yourself and try crab fishing

Learn how to paddle a basket boat from your boatman and give it a try. Catch crabs along the coconut-lined banks and watch the net-casting demonstration on the river. Net casting does not take place after 4:30 PM, so choose an earlier time slot if you want to see it.

Take photos in the coconut forest

Capture photos with the dense coconut forest and colorful basket boats as your backdrop. For a quieter river with fewer visitors, a time slot before 9:00 AM is recommended. You can watch the basket boat spinning, but riding a spinning boat yourself is not included and must be paid to the boat spinner on site.

Continue with a lantern-making class

If you choose an option with the lantern-making class, you can make a traditional Hoi An lantern yourself along with the basket boat ride. Choose between the meeting point or hotel pickup.
