I had a great time with my guide Tom. The itinerary was packed with many interesting sights and buildings in Hoi An with only short walks inbetween. Tom shared many insights into the citiy's history and the life of its residents and even had some recommendations regarding restaurants and other things to see/do in the area.

Fantastic Hoi An Old Town Walking Tour with Tom! We booked this tour with Tom on our very first day in Hoi An, and it was honestly the perfect way to start our stay. Tom was an excellent local guide — incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and with a fantastic grasp of English. His personality really shone through, and his jokes made the tour even more enjoyable! Tom showed us around the Old Town and gave us so much fascinating history, as well as plenty of useful tips and tricks for making the most of our time in Hoi An. We visited so many wonderful places, including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Cantonese and Fujian Assembly Halls, Ba Mu Temple, historic old houses, and even a working silk shop and lantern shop where traditional techniques are still used today. One of the things I found particularly interesting was learning about the annual flooding in Hoi An. Tom showed us photographs of previous floods and explained how the flood levels are actually marked on the buildings —

Our tour with Yui (apologies if I misspelled his name) was fantastic! He was incredibly informative and thoughtful in his responses to our questions. He really took the time to explain details and nuances that in my opinion, less thoughtful guides would not know or skip. As someone who likes to understand the meaning and history of the things I’m learning about, it was great to have such a thoughtful and well informed guide. I now have a newfound appreciation for the many beautiful temples and history of Hoi An!

Trung was an excellent guide with fantastic local knowledge. We took this short tour early evening which is perfect as slightly cooler. Day turns to night and the city changes. Trung showed us the places we should visit, how to buy tickets and lots of recommendations for eating/coffee/shopping.

Muchas gracias, Tom.
