This tour of about 4 hours starts with hotel pickup in central Hoi An and takes you to a local market, the Bay Mau coconut forest, and a cooking class in Cam Thanh village. Choose an 8:30 AM or 1:30 PM departure, with regular and vegetarian menu options. After the tour, you are dropped back in central Hoi An.

Pick fresh ingredients at a local market

Your guide picks you up at your hotel and drives you about 15 minutes to a local market. Spend about 1.5 hours soaking up the lively atmosphere and chatting with vendors, while your guide introduces two ingredients used in the cooking class.

Glide through the coconut forest by basket boat

Head to the Bay Mau coconut forest in Cam Thanh village and ride a traditional bamboo basket boat along palm-lined waterways. Watch a basket boat performance and learn traditional crab fishing from local fishermen. There is time for photos, and the coconut forest entrance fee is included.

Cook a 5-course Vietnamese meal

Relax with a welcome drink at the restaurant, then cook a 5-course Vietnamese meal with a chef. The sample regular menu is chicken pho, Hoi An spring rolls, fish baked in a clay pot, green papaya salad, and Hoi An rice pancakes; the vegetarian menu is tofu cooked in a clay pot with steamed rice, Hoi An spring rolls, vegetable soup, green papaya salad, and Hoi An rice pancakes.

The operator also prepares 3 extra dishes (stir-fried spinach with garlic, steamed rice, and dessert). After tasting your dishes, you return to the starting point.
