Meet around 2,000 frogs of about 120 species from Japan and overseas at KawaZoo, a frog-themed zoo in Kawazu on the Izu Peninsula. KawaZoo is an interactive frog zoo in Kawazu, Shizuoka, and the sister facility of iZoo, a zoo specializing in reptiles and amphibians. You can see about 120 species of frogs from Japan and abroad. Choose between a KawaZoo-only ticket and a combined ticket that also includes iZoo.

Natural land and waterscapes, such as a waterfall and paddy fields in the middle of the courtyard, let many frogs roam freely. You can see rare species such as the blue poison dart frog and strawberry poison dart frog, and even touch the frogs at the courtyard paddy fields.

and visit iZoo too
About 90% of the facility is indoors, so you can visit all year round regardless of the weather. On the day of your visit, you can exit and re-enter as many times as you like. At nearby iZoo, you can touch snakes and crocodiles, try feeding experiences and take photos with giant tortoises.
