This shared tour departs from Surabaya and takes you to two of East Java's most iconic natural sights, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and Mount Bromo, over 2 days and 1 night. On the first day, you trek through a canyon and admire Tumpak Sewu, known as the "Thousand Waterfalls", from the lower viewpoint. Early the next morning, you ride a 4WD jeep to watch the sunrise over the Tengger Caldera and hike up to the rim of the smoking Bromo crater. Air-conditioned transport, 1 night of accommodation near Bromo and national park entrance fees are included, so solo travelers can join with ease.

Explore waterfalls and a volcano over 2 days
This 2-day shared tour picks you up from your accommodation, Juanda Airport or a train station in Surabaya and travels in an air-conditioned car or a spacious minivan. A professional driver with plenty of experience on East Java's mountain roads does the driving, and you share the vehicle with other travelers.
Trek through the Tumpak Sewu canyon
From Surabaya, travel to the lush tropical region of Lumajang and head into Tumpak Sewu. Trek through hidden canyons with a local guide and admire the falls known as the "Thousand Waterfalls" from the lower viewpoint. After the trek, drive to the Bromo highlands and check in to a local guesthouse located for the early departure the next morning.
Ride a jeep to see the sunrise over the Tengger Caldera
On the second day, set off around midnight in a 4WD jeep to watch the sunrise over the Tengger Caldera. Then cross the vast Sea of Sand and hike up to the rim of the smoking Bromo crater. After breakfast at the accommodation, travel back by vehicle; with the Surabaya return option, you arrive in Surabaya in the afternoon.
