and head out onto Burj Lake
Board a traditional wooden abra at the Lake Ride counter in the Dubai Mall fountain area and spend about 30 minutes on Burj Lake. Boats depart 15 minutes before each fountain show, and the driver speaks English.

The boat passes the Burj Khalifa, Souk Al Bahar and the Palace Downtown. Take in the Dubai skyline from the water before moving to a spot where you can watch the fountain show.
Watch the Dubai Fountain show up close
Featuring 6,000 lights and 25 projectors, the fountain show is set to a range of music from classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. From the lake, you can see the water jets shooting into the sky up close.
