in search of the best sky of the night
The tour begins with pick-up from your accommodation. Before setting off, your guide checks the latest cloud cover, weather, solar wind and aurora conditions to choose the best direction to start. There is no predetermined viewing location.
Once on the road, the route develops according to the conditions of the night. If clouds move in, you head towards clearer skies; if better conditions develop farther away, you continue in that direction. Rather than waiting at one spot all evening, the tour follows the best available conditions.
Enjoy the Arctic night at remote viewing spots away from the crowds
Along the way, you stop at remote places away from crowded spots to take in the Arctic landscape and dark skies and, when conditions allow, watch the Northern Lights. Your guide explains what is happening in the sky and why the route may change. Hot drinks, light snacks and, in winter, hand warmers are provided.
Receive high-resolution aurora photos taken by your guide
Your guide takes professional photos during the chase, so you can stay in the moment. You receive the high-resolution photos as digital files, and if no aurora photos are captured, you get a full refund. After the chase, you are taken back to your pick-up location.
※ The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings are not guaranteed. Their appearance, intensity, colours and shapes vary from night to night, and they can look paler to the naked eye than in photos.
※ The tour usually lasts 4–8 hours and may sometimes run longer than 8 hours depending on conditions and route.

If your pick-up location is hard to find or there are special pick-up instructions, the guide will contact you in advance. Drop-off is at the same location as pick-up.
