Permanent masterpieces and temporary exhibitions

In the permanent collection, 120 masterpieces from many continents and cultures reveal human creativity. Your ticket also includes temporary exhibitions featuring works from around the world. With the smartphone audio app, you can listen to the story behind each work as you explore.

The plaza beneath the dome of light

Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the museum draws inspiration from the region's Islamic architectural traditions. Its signature is the "rain of light" that falls through the layered latticework of the huge dome. Set where the waters of the Arabian Gulf meet the sands of Saadiyat Island, the plaza under the dome also offers sea views.

Take your time at the café and boutique

After your visit, relax at the museum café or browse Fouquet's Abu Dhabi and the boutique. The plaza under the dome stays open until midnight, even after the galleries close, making it a lovely spot for an evening stroll.

※ The galleries and exhibitions close at 6:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.
※ Food and drinks, guided tours and workshops, kayaking and VR experiences are not included.
