Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is a modern and contemporary art museum that connects cultures and inspires people. Going beyond chronology and geography, it presents works from the 1960s to the present by highlighting artistic lineages, networks and exchanges.

30 galleries following the currents of art

Connected by a central atrium, the 30 galleries are organized around major currents in art since the 1960s, including abstraction, popular culture, land, language and storytelling. Explore the rooms in any order and discover the works in your own way. Your ticket also includes the multilingual public programs.

Architecture by Frank Gehry

Set where land meets sea on Saadiyat Island, the building was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Frank Gehry, also known for the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, drawing inspiration from Gulf architecture. It is a vast building with a total floor area of about 80,000 square meters.

Sculptural cones and outdoor terraces

Of the 10 cones that shape the skyline, nine are clad in stainless-steel mesh and one in onyx and glass. Rising up to 88 meters, the cones provide natural ventilation and shade, and you can also visit the outdoor exhibition spaces in the cones and on the terraces.
