This speedboat tour leaves Ton Sai Pier on Phi Phi Don at dawn so your group is the first to arrive at Maya Bay. Stroll the white sand of Maya Bay at your own pace before the crowds come and take photos with no one in the background. Swim in the turquoise water of Pileh Lagoon surrounded by cliffs, snorkel among tropical fish and coral, and meet crab-eating macaques at Monkey Bay. With the full-day option, you also get lunch and time to relax on the white sand of Bamboo Island.
Program
Set off first from Ton Sai Pier at sunrise
and head to Maya Bay
Meet at 6:00 AM at McDonald's right next to Ton Sai Pier. While waiting for the boat, you can watch the sun rise over the pier. Once everyone has arrived, the guide leads you to the speedboat, which departs Ton Sai Pier between 6:15 and 6:30 AM.
In just a few minutes you reach Maya Bay, known from the film "The Beach". Arriving as the first group, you have about 1 hour to walk along the uncrowded beach, relax by the turquoise sea and take photos.
Snorkeling, Viking Cave and Monkey Bay
At the snorkeling spot, you have about 40 minutes in the water to see tropical fish and coral. If you are lucky, you may see harmless blacktip sharks swimming by. Next, you pass Viking Cave, where the guide explains the cave and the swiftlet nests locals collect for bird's nest soup.
At Monkey Bay, you can watch wild crab-eating macaques climbing on the beach and in the trees for about 30 minutes. Please do not get too close to the monkeys or feed them.
Swim in the calm water of Pileh Lagoon
Surrounded by high cliffs, Pileh Lagoon has clear, calm water that is perfect for swimming and enjoying the scenery. You stay for about 40 minutes. The half-day option then returns to Ton Sai Pier, ending around 10:30 AM.
Full-day option: lunch and relaxation on Bamboo Island
The full-day option finally stops at Bamboo Island for about 1.5 hours. Have lunch on the beach, swim or sunbathe, then return to Ton Sai Pier around 2:30 PM.
