This is a roughly 13-hour day trip from Rome to the Amalfi Coast in a small-group premium minivan. An English-speaking driver and host stays with you all day, taking you from breakfast in Pompeii to Positano viewpoints, a beach lunch in Amalfi and free time in Ravello. You can also choose the Amalfi day trip option, which leaves out lunch, Positano and Ravello.

Italian breakfast, then views of Positano

Start the day with coffee and a freshly baked cornetto at one of the oldest bars in Pompeii. Then stop at viewpoints in Piano di Sorrento and Positano on the Sorrento coast for photos. In Positano you enjoy welcome refreshments, granita and limoncello tastings, and a break with wine and a local snack.

Positano and Sorrento are scenic viewpoint stops, not guided walking tours.

Have a beach lunch in Amalfi

You continue by minivan past Praiano to Amalfi. In Amalfi you enjoy an Italian beach lunch with wine for about an hour, with classic coastal views. There is no need to look for a restaurant or prepare tickets, as your driver and host looks after the day.

Free time in Ravello and Villa Rufolo

In Ravello, a village high above the sea, you have free time to stroll the streets, browse local shops and try gelato. Your Villa Rufolo ticket is included, so you can walk through its gardens and panoramic terraces. Afterwards, the minivan takes you back to Rome in about 2 hours 45 minutes.
