Meet your guide in front of the statue at Place Broglie and walk through the Grande Île of Strasbourg for 1 hour 30 minutes. You visit carefully selected local food shops and artisan stores, each focusing on a different regional specialty.

All five tastings are included in the tour.

Taste charcuterie and traditional Alsatian sweets

The tour begins with traditional Alsatian charcuterie, chosen from the menu prepared that day. Depending on the season and availability, you may try specialties such as presskopf (a pork terrine), country bacon or saucisse de viande. Your guide explains the place of charcuterie in Alsatian cuisine and how it is made.

Next, at a local biscuit shop or bakery, try bredele, small biscuits traditionally associated with Advent, and a slice of kougelhopf, the Alsatian almond and raisin brioche baked in a distinctive ring mold.

Try bretzel and Munster cheese

At a local bakery, taste a traditional bretzel and, depending on availability, a second type of bretzel. Your guide explains how this famous Alsatian specialty is made and the traditions around it.

Then visit a local cheese shop for AOP Munster cheese, traditionally served with cumin, and learn how this distinctive Alsatian cheese is produced and enjoyed.

Finish at a gingerbread shop

The tour ends at a local gingerbread shop, where you taste traditional pain d'épices. The tasting may vary depending on the products prepared that day.
