About the Host

Highlights

This small group wine tour departs from Padua, Abano Terme or Montegrotto Terme and heads to the Valpolicella hills, one of Italy's leading wine regions. You visit two local wineries, join two guided tastings, and discover Valpolicella wines and Amarone. A light lunch of typical local products is served alongside the tastings. Transport is by the agency's minivan, and pick-up service is included.

Program

Leave Padua for
two Valpolicella wineries

This is a small group wine tour of about 5 hours to the Valpolicella hills from the pick-up location you choose in Padua, Abano Terme or Montegrotto Terme. You visit two local wineries for two guided tastings and enjoy a light lunch with local wine. Transport is by the agency's minivan with a tour leader.

Ride a minivan to the Valpolicella hills

From your chosen pick-up location, the minivan ride to the first destination, Negrar di Valpolicella, takes about 105 minutes. Moving between the two wineries takes about 15 minutes, and after the tour the ride back to a drop-off location in Padua, Abano Terme or Montegrotto Terme takes about 105 minutes. Valpolicella is known as one of the best wine-producing areas in Italy.

Join guided tastings at two local wineries

You spend about 1.5 hours at each winery on a visit, guided tour and wine tasting. You discover the region's fine wines and the elegance and complexity of Amarone, its most famous wine.

Enjoy a light lunch with local food

The tastings come with pairings of typical Valpolicella products. A light lunch that goes well with local wine lets you experience the flavors and traditions of the region.
