Explore a vast leisure farm in Hualien's East Rift Valley

Xinguang Zhaofeng Leisure Farm (Farm Dream Estates) is a large leisure farm in Hualien's East Rift Valley. Turn left under Fengping Bridge at the 217 km mark of the provincial highway to get there, and the Linrong-Xinguang Station of Taiwan Railways is inside the farm, making train access easy. With its wide forests and natural surroundings, light clothing, comfortable shoes and a straw hat are all you need.

The exhibition on the 3rd floor of the Visitor Center introduces the story of the farm, cultivated over 50 years across 726 hectares, its future plans, nearby attractions and Indigenous culture in an easy-to-understand way.

Enjoy mountain views from the lakeside waterfall and Lover's Bridge

The lakeside waterfall, bald cypresses and wide lawns make this a popular photo spot. Stand on the white Lover's Bridge over the lake to take in the majestic Central Mountain Range and the clouds drifting along its slopes. Many migratory birds and wild ducks visit the lake, making it a great place for birdwatching.

Meet cute animals at the zoo

At the farm zoo you can cuddle and feed cute animals. You can also watch the daily piglet show and sheep herding show. Sloths, sheep, camels, tortoises, meerkats, macaws, raccoons, rabbits and many more animals live here.

Stroll the Kapok Road and tree-lined avenues

Kapok Road, where kapok flowers bloom every March and April, is one of the most popular spots on the farm. In the back garden to the left of Kapok Road you'll find deer, lambs and other cute animals, and you can take photos by the white piano on the stage or enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea.

Known as a "tree bank" with tens of thousands of trees planted, the farm has green avenues and leafy corridors throughout. Stop to take photos and enjoy the natural scenery that changes with the four seasons.

Meet dairy cows and fresh dairy products at the ranch

This ranch raises many Dutch dairy cows and Taiwanese wagyu cattle. Hop off here to learn how the dairy cows are raised, and try specialty products such as Zhaofeng's signature fresh milk ice cream, cheese and organic honey. It's a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee while watching the cows graze on the vast grassland.
