Set on high ground, Chinan Forest Recreation Area is a great place to look out over Liyu Lake. There's also a spot for coffee and tea where you can rest and enjoy the lake view, and a map helps you identify the surrounding mountains.
Explore the forestry heritage of an old logging site
From the 1950s to the 1970s, this was the distribution center for logging on Mugua Mountain (2,500 m). The old timber ropeway (Liulong) and German-made logging cars are still preserved, and you can also see a large steam skidder up close.
