Take the bus from Abisko to Kiruna
and ride a dog sled across the Arctic wilderness
This 7-hour trip picks you up at accommodations in Abisko and Björkliden and takes a bus to a dog sledding camp near Kiruna. At the camp you meet your dog team, ride across the Arctic wilderness for about 2 hours, and stop halfway by a campfire for warm drinks and a traditional Swedish fika. Warm overalls, winter boots, a hat and gloves are provided.
Ride a sled driven by a professional musher
A professional musher drives the dog sled, so you can sit back, take in the scenery and take photos. Healthy guests can enjoy it with little regard to fitness level, and each sled carries up to 4 people. You may have to share a sled with other guests. The route is about 10 to 12 km.
Campfire and fika at the wilderness camp
About halfway along the route you stop at a remote wilderness camp. The guide builds a campfire and prepares warm drinks and a traditional Swedish fika. Warm coffee or tea may be served with a cinnamon bun.
Meet the sled dogs and head back to Abisko
At the camp you can get close to the sled dogs, pet them and take photos. After returning to the starting point, you take the bus back to Abisko. The ride takes about 2 hours each way.
※ Lunch is not included and cannot be bought at the camp. Please bring a packed lunch and snacks.
※ Pick-up and drop-off are not available in Kiruna.
※ Children under 5 cannot take part.

Pick-up takes place at the hotel or designated pick-up point you select when booking. Please check the voucher issued after your booking is confirmed for the exact pick-up point and time.
Pick-up times: Hotell Fjället in Björkliden at 9:45 AM, STF Abisko Turiststation at 10:00 AM, and Abisko Guesthouse, Abisko Fjällturer AB (Abisko.net) and Abisko Mountain Lodge between 10:00 and 10:15 AM.
Pick-up and drop-off are not available in Kiruna.
