The group is limited to 8 people and the tour lasts about 4.5 hours. An English-speaking guide explains the landscape, nature and Sami culture, and after lunch at a local hotel in Björkliden you are taken back to your hotel.

Walk the canyon cliffs and visit the Silver Falls

Spend about 2 hours with your guide walking along the canyon cliffs in Abisko National Park. The guide explains the area's unique geology, ecosystem and the natural forces that have shaped the landscape over thousands of years.

Next, head to the Silver Falls, where frozen waterfalls and partly frozen water make a great backdrop for photos.

Step onto a frozen lake and hear Arctic stories

Go down to Lake Torneträsk, the fifth largest lake in Sweden. If conditions allow and the lake is frozen, you can walk across the ice to a small island. The path down to the lake is short but quite steep, and your guide picks soft snow and a safe route to help you.

Along the way the guide introduces Arctic wildlife such as reindeer and mountain birds, as well as the Sami people's reindeer herding culture and history.

Have lunch with mountain views in Björkliden

Continue to the mountain village of Björkliden for lunch at a cozy local hotel. Enjoy about an hour of dining with views of snow-covered peaks, then your guide drives you back to your hotel.
