From Rome: Venice Day Trip by High-Speed Train

Meet your tour leader in front of Caffè Trombetta on Via Marsala near Roma Termini station and travel to Venice by high-speed train. Round-trip train tickets are included, and your tour leader is with you throughout the day.

Take a water bus to St. Mark's Square

On arrival in Venice, receive a one-way water bus ticket and follow your leader onto the vaporetto. Enjoy your first views of the floating city as you travel along the canals to St. Mark's Square, the heart of Venice. From the waterfront you can also admire the grand west facade of St. Mark's Basilica.

Explore Venice at your leisure

During about 4 hours 45 minutes of free time, use the free map and suggested itinerary to go shopping, enjoy an Italian coffee or wander the romantic alleys. You can also visit the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri), one of the city's best-loved sights. Within Venice, you explore on your own without a guide.

Enjoy a Venetian aperitivo and return to Rome

On the way back to the station, enjoy an aperitivo with your leader. Taste cicchetti, the small savory bites typically served in bàcari, and finish with a Venetian spritz. Then return to Rome by high-speed train; the tour ends on Via Marsala where you started.
