London: Kensington Palace Gardens Guided Walk & Afternoon Tea

Stroll through Kensington Gardens with a guide
and hear royal stories

Meet your guide at Queensway station and set off for a walk into Kensington Gardens. For about 50 minutes, you walk through the gardens and learn about royal history and its connection to Kensington Palace, with stories of royals such as Princess Diana, Prince Harry and Prince William. All tours are conducted in English.

Explore the palace gardens with fountains and flower beds

See the well-kept water features, formal gardens and the Sunken Garden surrounding Kensington Palace. You can also admire the ornately designed fountains and carefully tended flower beds.

Enjoy afternoon tea or cream tea, depending on your option

With the Full Afternoon Tea option, you are served tea at your private table in the 300-year-old Queen Anne Tea Room, with traditional sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and cakes. The sandwiches include egg mayonnaise and cress, smoked salmon and cream cheese, roast ham and English mustard, and cucumber and mint, and you can choose from a variety of teas or other drinks.

The Takeaway Cream Tea option includes a scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream from the Palace Café, which you can enjoy at your leisure at the seats outside the café.

Explore inside Kensington Palace

If you choose an option with palace entry, you can also explore inside Kensington Palace. With the 'Afternoon Tea and Palace Entry' option, you enter the palace after the garden tour and tea, with hourly talks and multi-language audio guides available. Entry is valid for two hours from the start of your tour.
