There was no queue at the time we went - 10.00am on a Saturday but nevertheless we enjoyed getting straight in and were able to have a leisurely tour before climbing the tower. The views from the top are well worth the climb.

The climb to the tower isn't tiring because you see the church as you ascend. Recommended. Good views from the top of the tower.
