Discover a different side of Ishigaki Island on this night tour. Guided by flashlight, you'll walk through forest paths searching for nocturnal creatures and subtropical flora. Depending on the conditions, you might encounter insects, crustaceans, or small animals up close, and if you're lucky, even nocturnal birds. On clear nights, enjoy stargazing. Ishigaki is a designated 'Starry Sky Reserve,' offering a vast expanse of stars in areas with minimal artificial light. This tour focuses on appreciating the stars with your own eyes, as astrophotography is not included.

A Hassle-Free Night Course, Rain or Shine

Meet your guide at the Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal at 19:30 sharp. You'll depart for the site at 19:45, with your guide sharing observation tips and safety points during the ride, setting the mood from the start. This tour generally proceeds even in the rain, unless safety is compromised. Restrooms are not available near the site, so it's recommended to use one before departure. Comfortable attire includes long sleeves, long pants, and sneakers. Don't forget to bring drinks, a towel, and socks.
