Board your chosen vessel and cross Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm. The cruise takes about 45 minutes each way on either the iconic 1912 vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw or the sleek modern catamaran Spirit of Queenstown, depending on your booking.
Ride across the farm's rolling hills
in a small group
At the farm, meet your horse and local guide. Your experienced guide leads you across the rolling high country farm to a lookout with magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu, on a horse trek of about 40-45 minutes.
The ride is easy, making it suitable for first-time riders and beginners. Groups are limited to 6 riders per guide for a personalised experience.
Enjoy tea at the Colonel's Homestead
Back at the stables, enjoy morning or afternoon tea with tea, coffee, scones and muffins at the Colonel's Homestead restaurant. Then explore the colourful gardens and farm before cruising back to Queenstown on the TSS Earnslaw or Spirit of Queenstown.
