Dubai Red Dune Desert Safari & Camel Ride (Quad Bike, Camp Options & Hotel Pickup)

Head into Dubai's red sand desert
by 4WD

After pickup from your accommodation, travel to the desert in an air-conditioned 4WD with an English-speaking safari guide. Before entering the desert, stop briefly at a base camp with air-conditioned tents, toilets and a small shop selling drinks, snacks and scarves, while the driver adjusts the tire pressure for the dunes.

Enjoy dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel ride

Experience 30–40 minutes of dune bashing as an expert driver tackles the steep slopes of the red dunes. Then slide down the dunes on a sandboard and take a slow camel ride across the desert. On afternoon tours you can also see the desert sunset. Your guide takes photos and videos of the activities.

Ride a quad bike yourself if you wish

If you choose an option with a quad bike, you ride it yourself on the red sand after a safety briefing. The 4-hour option includes a 35-minute self-drive.

7-hour options continue with an evening at a Bedouin camp

With a 7-hour option, head to a traditional desert camp and start with Arabic coffee and dates. Try on traditional Arabic clothing, enjoy henna and shisha, and have a BBQ dinner while watching fire, Tanoura and belly dance shows. After the evening, you are dropped off at your hotel or preferred drop-off point.

※ Under UAE law, traditional dance shows are not held during Ramadan and Islamic holidays.
