Hotel pickup and a drive
to the yurt in the woods
After pickup at your hotel in Fairbanks, ride about 30 minutes to an off-grid yurt. The yurt is a short drive from Fairbanks but far from the city lights.
Go dog sledding under the night sky
A team of eager sled dogs pulls you across snowy forest trails for about 30 minutes. A musher accompanies you, and since most of the trail is in open terrain, you can enjoy the aurora from the sled if it appears early.
Enjoy a salmon dinner in the yurt
Return to the warm yurt for a homemade Alaskan salmon dinner. A vegetarian pesto pasta is available on request. Meals and drinks are included.
Wait for the aurora during free time
After dinner, spend your free time watching the sky through the large north-facing windows or stepping outside to take photos while you wait for the aurora. After the tour, you will be driven about 30 minutes back to your hotel.
