Start in Aswan
and sail the Nile to Luxor
On day 1, meet the local representative at your hotel, train station or airport in Aswan to begin the tour. Visit the Aswan High Dam and take a motorboat on the Nile to Philae Temple. On the cruise, enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and an evening disco party, and spend your first night on board.
Leave before dawn to visit the temples of Abu Simbel
On day 2, your guide picks you up around 4:30 AM for a shared small-group trip to Abu Simbel. Arrive around 8:00 AM and explore the rock-cut temples carved into the cliffs for Ramses II and Queen Nefertari.
Return to the cruise around noon for lunch, then sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Have dinner on board and sail on to Edfu overnight.
Ride a horse carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu
On day 3, after breakfast, ride a horse carriage with your guide to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Back on the cruise, relax on deck and enjoy the Nile scenery while sailing to Luxor and passing through the Esna Lock. Lunch and afternoon tea are served on board.
Arrive at the Luxor dock in the late afternoon and transfer to Luxor Temple on the East Bank. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a belly dance show on board, and spend the night in Luxor.
Float over Luxor's West Bank on a sunrise hot air balloon
On day 4, after pickup around 5:00 AM, fly over Luxor's West Bank by hot air balloon for 30 to 45 minutes. Then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and take photos at the Colossi of Memnon to finish the West Bank tour. Lunch at a local restaurant is optional.
Return to the East Bank to see the giant columns and obelisks of Karnak Temple, built over 2,000 years. At the end, transfer to your hotel, the airport or the train station in Luxor around 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
※ If the cruise arrives at the Luxor dock by 3:00 or 3:30 PM on day 3, you can visit both Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple that day.
