The show takes place at an open-air theater on the banks of the Li River. Planned and designed over three years by director Zhang Yimou, it features more than 600 performers presenting choreography, vivid costumes and folk songs on the theme of harmony between people and nature. Enjoy about 70 minutes of an evening performance where illuminated costumes and the river landscape come together under the night sky.

Choose your seat class when booking

When booking, choose a ticket class to decide your seat location. The B-2 ticket has plastic seats, the B-1 ticket has bamboo seats, and the A-2 and A-1 tickets have covered seats. From the VIP seats on the B level and the covered President seats on the A level, you get a wide view of the whole performance.

Hotel transfer options include a round trip with an English-speaking driver

Options with hotel transfer include pickup between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM from your hotel lobby or the village main gate in Yangshuo, and a private vehicle ride to the theater. Check in at the theater between 7:00 PM and 7:40 PM, watch the show, and return to your hotel in Yangshuo between 9:00 PM and 9:25 PM. The driver speaks Chinese and English.
