This is an early bird 1-day lift ticket for Amihari Onsen Ski Resort in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, within Towada-Hachimantai National Park. About 50 minutes from central Morioka, this long-established ski resort spreads across the middle slopes of Mt. Iwate, the highest peak in Iwate Prefecture. Its slopes make use of the national park's natural terrain, with an upper course where you can see frost-covered trees, a challenging middle course, and a lower course that is fun for families and beginners.

Amihari Onsen Ski Resort sits on the middle slopes of Mt. Iwate, the highest mountain in Iwate Prefecture, within Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Professional skier Yuichiro Miura highly recommended these slopes in his younger days, and although the resort is medium-sized, it offers a wide variety of courses.
Choose upper, middle or lower courses to match your level
There is an upper course through trees covered in frost in midwinter, a challenging middle course, and a lower course that families and beginners can enjoy. The resort has 4 lifts (1st Pair A & B, 2nd Pair, 3rd Pair), a maximum run of 3,000m and a vertical drop of 600m (750m → 1,350m).
Ski center and hot spring facilities
The ski center has a lift ticket office, rental shop, cafe, restaurant, ski and snowboard schools, a first aid room and more. Shirakaba Lodge (rest house), Kyukamura Iwate Amihari Onsen (hotel) and Amihari Onsenkan (day bathing) are also located around the resort.

Go directly to the lift ticket office at the ski center. By car, from Morioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway, take Route 46 toward Akita, turn right at Tsunagi-Jumonji toward Koiwai Farm, and drive about 20km to Kyukamura (about 40 minutes).
