プログラム
Meet Michelangelo's David at the Galleria dell'Accademia
Meet your guide at the equestrian statue of Ferdinando I de' Medici in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata and head to the Galleria dell'Accademia. Enter with a timed ticket for a guided tour of about 45 minutes and see Michelangelo's David up close. Carved from a single block of marble between 1501 and 1504 and standing over 5 m tall, David was moved to this gallery in 1873.
Walk past the Duomo and traces of the Medici
Pass Palazzo Medici Riccardi on the way to a viewpoint of the exterior of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo). The Gothic cathedral and Brunelleschi's red dome are Florence's signature view.
Renaissance masterpieces at the Uffizi Gallery
Enter the Uffizi Gallery with a pre-booked ticket for a guided visit. See Renaissance masterpieces such as Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" and Leonardo da Vinci's "Annunciation". The Uffizi was designed by Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century as administrative offices for the Medici; "Uffizi" means "offices" in Italian. The tour ends at the Uffizi.
※ Entry to the inside of the Duomo is not included.
※ There are security checks at every entrance.
