Visit Kuang Si Falls in the afternoon
and return on a Mekong sunset cruise
You are picked up from your hotel in central Luang Prabang between 1:00 and 1:40 PM and travel about 50 minutes by minivan to Kuang Si Falls. After the falls and the rice farm, you return to Luang Prabang by longtail boat along the Mekong at sunset, finishing around 6:30 PM. An English-speaking guide accompanies you.
Spend 2 hours of free time at Kuang Si Falls
On arrival you have about 2 hours to spend as you like. Swim or relax in the turquoise pools, or follow the forest trails and visit the Asiatic Black Bear Rescue Centre.

at Kuang Si Heritage Rice Farm
Follow the path of the water to Kuang Si Heritage Rice Farm. See how the waterfall feeds the terraced rice paddies, taste fresh sugarcane juice pressed the traditional way and learn how the forest, the water and local life are connected.
Return along the Mekong at sunset
A 10-minute minivan ride takes you to the Mekong, where you board a longtail boat for a sunset cruise of about 2 hours. One drink is included and more drinks can be bought on board. Glide slowly back to Luang Prabang along the river.
