This set plan lets you enjoy two of Iriomote Island's popular activities from the afternoon. You meet your guide at Uehara Port or your hotel at 13:30 and move to the field. Your guide gives a thorough briefing, so beginners can join with peace of mind.

Snorkel around the miracle island, Barasu Island

The sea around Barasu Island is exceptionally clear, letting you swim among colorful coral and fish. If you are lucky, you may even see a sea turtle. Be sure to take photos of scenery you can only capture at Barasu Island.

Snorkeling runs from 14:00 to 15:30, and you return to Uehara Port or your hotel around 16:00 to rest until the sunset tour.

Cruise by SUP or canoe at a recommended sunset spot

After the break, you regroup and head to the sunset field (regroup at 18:00 in summer / 16:45 in winter). On the SUP or canoe you chose when booking, cruise at a relaxed pace through scenery where mangroves and the sunset come together. You arrive back at Uehara Port around 19:30 in summer / 18:15 in winter, and guests using hotel pickup are dropped off at their hotel.

※ The schedule may change depending on the weather, tide and number of participants on the day.
※ The regrouping time for the sunset tour varies by season and will be announced by your guide on the day. As pickups are made at each accommodation in turn, times differ slightly by group.
※ Depending on the wind direction, tide and crowds on the day, the activity may take place on the sea instead of in the mangroves.
※ Wildlife such as sea turtles lives in the wild, so sightings are not guaranteed. The sunset may not be visible depending on the weather.
