Dubai Heritage Desert Safari by Vintage Land Rover (Hotel Pickup)

Ride a vintage Land Rover
through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

After pickup from your Dubai hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, you'll drive out to the desert. There you'll switch to an open-top 1950s vintage Land Rover for a nature drive through the royal desert area with a conservation guide (about 1 hour). There is no dune bashing, and the drive stops for photos and scenic views.

Your guide explains the UAE's heritage and history and the unique flora and fauna of the desert, and you'll look out for native wildlife such as the Arabian oryx and gazelles. Each vintage Land Rover seats up to 9 passengers.

Watch a falconry display at sunset

As the sun goes down, enjoy the desert sunset with welcome refreshments and watch a falconry display (about 30 minutes).

Experience Emirati culture at a Bedouin-style camp

Next, head to a Bedouin-style camp in an exclusive desert area. Enjoy traditional Emirati activities such as Arabic coffee tasting, a bread-making demonstration, henna and a short camel ride near the camp.

End with a traditional dinner, performances and stargazing

Sit at low, shared Bedouin-style tables for a 4-course traditional dinner. Watch Emirati performances such as drumming and Yolla dance, and join in if you like. The evening ends with shisha and a stargazing session before you return to your Dubai hotel.
