From Paris: Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches Day Trip (Small Group, Max 8)

Take a minibus from Paris
to the D-Day sites of Normandy

Depart at 7:00 AM from Avenue de Wagram near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and drive about 2.5 hours across the Normandy countryside by minibus. On this small-group tour of up to 8 people, your English-speaking guide vividly explains the events leading up to the Allied landings of June 6, 1944, the situation during the landings, and the battle's impact on the liberation of France and the end of the war.

Walk the Longues-sur-Mer Battery and Omaha Beach

First, explore the Longues-sur-Mer Battery, one of the many German bunkers the Allies had to neutralize. Then visit Omaha Beach, where American soldiers fought and fell to liberate Europe, and hear stories from the battlefield.

Discover the records of the operation at the Overlord Museum

At the Overlord Museum, with admission included, see military maps, plans and photos used to plan the D-Day operation. After the museum, there is about 1 hour 15 minutes for lunch (meal not included).

Visit Pointe du Hoc and the Normandy American Cemetery

In the afternoon, head to Pointe du Hoc, a fierce battleground of the landings. After a short stop for a wine tasting, end the tour at the Normandy American Cemetery, looking out over more than 10,000 white crosses honoring the fallen. You return to Paris at around 20:00, depending on traffic.
