Kani Honke
Kani Honke is a restaurant that has been around for over half a century and is the originator of Japan's 'crab cuisine', which is world-renowned and boasts amazing taste. It is the only crab restaurant in Kyushu, Japan, and unlike other crab restaurants in other regions, you can also taste fresh seafood from Nangkoku. It's not a large restaurant, but it has the advantage of being decorated with small and pretty private rooms in a Japanese style, so you can have a private meal.

The Kani Honke Crab Story
Kani Honke exclusively uses three types of fresh, live crabs: the majestic King Crab, the delicate Hairy Crab, and the authentic Dorobō Crab (not Snow Crab), all caught in Japanese waters. To ensure the utmost freshness for our crab sashimi and boiled crab, we house live crabs in circulating seawater tanks at the Tomakomai fishing port in Hokkaido. They are then carefully packaged and directly shipped to our restaurants across Japan. For our branches outside Hokkaido, we utilize air transport to guarantee the crabs' freshness upon arrival.
