From Melbourne: Phillip Island Wine & Penguin Parade Tour - Small Group

Depart Melbourne and stop at
San Remo, the gateway to Phillip Island

Meet your guide at Arts Centre Melbourne and start the day with a barista-made coffee. Travel in a premium coach with Wi-Fi and charging ports to San Remo, a Bass Coast fishing village and the gateway to Phillip Island, where you'll have about 30 minutes for a break and photos.

Enjoy wine and lunch at a Phillip Island winery

Taste local boutique wines with your guide and share a generous antipasto platter. Then enjoy a wood-fired lunch made with seasonal sides and Victorian produce. You'll spend about 1.5 hours at the winery.

Stroll around Cowes and toast at the Nobbies

After lunch, enjoy about 1.5 hours of free time to explore the beaches and shops of Cowes, Phillip Island's main town. If you like, you can pay an extra fee on the day to visit the Koala Conservation Reserve instead (about 1 hour) and walk the elevated boardwalks through koala habitat.

After a short stop at Flynns Beach, head to the Nobbies, known for its clifftop views and wildlife. Wrap up the day with sparkling wine over views of Bass Strait, and you may spot native wildlife such as kangaroos, echidnas and birds along the scenic coastal drive.

Watch the little penguins come home at the Penguin Parade

Your final stop is the Penguin Parade at Summerland Beach. From the general viewing area, spend about 2 hours watching little penguins return from the sea at sunset and waddle to their burrows, then return to Arts Centre Melbourne.
