Based on our own expectations, we thought the interior would be different, more like a castle set in that era. But no, it's a museum with exhibitions on each floor. Beautiful and full of written history, but not the visual we expected.

Amazing castle, really enjoyed the visit. The museum exhibition was great too. Well worth a visit. Get the skip the line for sure! Probably saved us an hour wait for tickets at the door.

Enjoy historical exhibits and views of Osaka from the Main Tower

Inside the Main Tower, you can see historical exhibits from the Toyotomi and Tokugawa periods. From the top floor, a panoramic view of the city of Osaka unfolds before you. The elevator goes up to the 5th floor; use the stairs to go from the 5th floor up to the 8th floor and to come back down to the 1st floor.

At the Toyotomi Ishigaki Museum, you can explore the Toyotomi-era stone walls (ishigaki) in person. All floors are accessible by elevator, so visitors with limited mobility can visit comfortably.
