Seoul Inwangsan Guksadang & Korean Shamanism Walking Tour

Walk the forest trails of Inwangsan
and learn about Korean shamanism

Meet your guide near Exit 3 of Dongnimmun Station and walk the peaceful forest trails of Inwangsan. Along the way, learn how shamanism has influenced Korean culture for centuries and how it is woven into Korean history, culture and ways of thinking.

Visit hidden shrines and Guksadang

Stop at hidden shrines and see real offerings left by locals. At Guksadang, the best-known shamanic shrine in Seoul, hear about traditional rituals, shamans and the role they still play in modern Korea. There is also time to take photos in the mystical surroundings.

Make a lucky charm with your wish

Write your own wish or prayer on a lucky charm to take home or leave at the shrine. Feel free to ask your guide questions and chat along the way.
