Tours & activities worldwide.
This small-group tour picks you up from your accommodation in Busan and covers the city's top sights in one day, from the eastern coast to Yeongdo and the western hillside villages. Visit Haedong Yonggungsa, a temple on a cliff overlooking the sea; Ahopsan Forest, known as a filming location for several dramas; and Cheongsapo with its Daritdol Skywalk and Beach Train. In the afternoon, walk along the coastal scenery of Taejongdae, the seaside Huinnyeoul Culture Village, and Gamcheon Culture Village with its colorful terraced houses. With a maximum of 13 participants, a certified guide shares stories along the way.
After pickup from your accommodation in Busan, travel by van for about 25 minutes to Haedong Yonggungsa. Unlike most temples set deep in the mountains, this Buddhist temple sits on a coastal cliff overlooking the East Sea. Built during the Goryeo Dynasty, it is said that a wish made here during the day comes true by evening. Explore with your guide for about 1 hour and take photos at your own pace.
Ahopsan Forest is a private forest of bamboo, cypress, cedar, ginkgo, and centuries-old pine trees, preserved for about 400 years and known as a filming location for many Korean dramas and films. After about 1 hour walking in the forest, take a 30-minute break at a hanok cafe.
Next, spend about 70 minutes at Cheongsapo. Participants split into three groups: enjoying Daritdol Skywalk, the lighthouse, and sea views (Group A), riding the Beach Train (Group B), or riding the Sky Capsule (Group C). The Beach Train and Sky Capsule are optional, with tickets purchased separately on site, and your guide will help you buy them. The Sky Capsule departs from Cheongsapo and arrives at Mipo.
After a 1-hour lunch at Bupyeong Kkangtong Market (meal not included), head to Yeongdo. Taejongdae is a coastal park of towering cliffs, dense forest, and clear water, and on a clear day you can see as far as Tsushima Island in Japan. After about 30 minutes there, walk for about 1 hour through Huinnyeoul Culture Village, where murals and small houses line the sea, and enjoy the scenery toward sunset.
Finally, spend about 1 hour at Gamcheon Culture Village, often called the "Santorini of Korea" or "Lego Village." Founded in the 1950s, it features colorful houses terraced up the hillside and murals and sculptures from a community art project that began in 2009. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your preferred location.
※ The itinerary is for reference only and may change depending on local conditions.
※ Huinnyeoul and Gamcheon Culture Villages are easy walking routes mostly along flat roads.
