BESTWe booked the combo to skip lines and it was worth it. Sainte-Chapelle is absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen. Conciergerie was less flashy but historically fascinating. If you're into French history and revolutionary era, this combo gives you both beauty and depth. Muy recomendable.
Visit the must-see attractions in Paris, Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, with one ticket.
Sainte-Chapelle, famous for its magnificent stained glass windows, and the Conciergerie, which was used as a notorious prison during the French Revolution, are essential attractions in Paris. Discover the chapel with its vertically soaring structure and beautiful glass mosaics, along with a building where you can explore historical artifacts and exhibitions today.

A Hidden Gem of Paris,
Sainte-Chapelle
Sainte-Chapelle, where you can feel a splendid and mysterious atmosphere, is one of the greatest architectural structures representing Western architectural history. In particular, the 15-meter-high stone pillars and 15 stained glass windows inside the chapel, facing the ornately decorated ceiling, evoke immediate awe. These stained glass windows depict Bible stories and the history of the French kingdom at the time, with different images on each.
Don't miss the moment when the stained glass, containing a thousand stories, touches the light!
The History of Sainte-Chapelle

Built by Louis IX, Sainte-Chapelle was constructed in just 7 years, starting in 1242 and completed by 1248. A prime example of Gothic style, it was originally built as a royal chapel for the king and his family.
The interior of Sainte-Chapelle is divided into the first and second floors, with the chapel on the first floor intended for the general public. The second floor, accessible by stairs, was used by the royal family or privileged classes. The magnificent stained glass we know is located on the second floor and is called the 'Treasure of Paris.' In person, you can truly witness its overwhelming size and beauty.
Stained Glass: See as Much as You Know

This is it! The stained glass on the second floor. It is 14m high and consists of 15 windows. What you should pay attention to here is the decoration of the windows. A whopping 1,134 scenes based on the Bible are depicted, decorated in chronological order from the story of Moses to Jesus Christ being crucified!
If you visit during the day, the light coming through the windows is so magnificent and beautiful that you might think, 'It's the light shining from God.'
The Historically Rich Conciergerie

The Conciergerie, a place that has played a historical role from the Middle Ages to modern times, is also a must-see on your Paris trip. Originally used as a royal palace and major administrative center from the 10th century, it later became a court of law from the time of Charles V.
The place where law and justice were executed became notorious during the French Revolution. Used as a prison at the time, aristocrats and politicians such as Marie Antoinette were imprisoned and sent to the guillotine. Currently, the room where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned is preserved as a memorial, and you can experience both the grandeur of the medieval royal palace and the dark history of the revolutionary period.
From Royal Palace to the French Revolution

The historically rich building, the Conciergerie, is a place where you can learn about the complex history of France. Focusing on the space where you can glimpse the life of the medieval royal palace and the prison function of the French Revolution, you can explore the history leading to the guillotine. Explore in detail the changed roles of the French court and buildings from the Middle Ages to modern times.
