BESTHungary It was a short schedule, so I thought about it before going. I think it was so nice to have an outdoor hot spring because the weather was nice. It was quieter than I thought, so I went in without waiting too long. However, I was worried about whether the Pallinker Museum was good value for money.
Szechenyi Baths & Palinka Museum,
Ticket to meet everyone
Hungary is famous for its hot springs, and among them, the Szechenyi Bath, a must-visit destination in Budapest, is famous for being the largest hot spring in Europe. With a magnificent building built in the Baroque style, it has 3 outdoor pools and 15 indoor pools, and is a huge spa that you can enjoy a fun day with, like a water park. Enjoy the most healing time during your trip to Budapest at the Szechenyi Bath.

How to get to Szechenyi Baths
The easiest way to get to Széchenyi Baths is by taking the M1 subway line. It is located right in front of the Széchenyi fürdő station (the last stop), so you can get off at the station and walk for 2 minutes.
Szechenyi Baths Preparation Checklist
The Szechenyi Baths are as large as a water park, and you have to wear a swimsuit to enter, so surprisingly(?) you need a lot of preparations.
Basic supplies:

This is a must-have. You can rent on-site towels (6,000 forints) / swimsuits (6,000 forints), slippers, and swimming caps (4,000 / 2,000 forints each).

Let me tell you a good time to visit
I definitely recommend visiting the Szechenyi Baths in the morning. This is because there are a lot of group tours in the afternoon, so it’s better to enjoy it in the morning. It opens at 7 a.m. from Monday to Friday, and at 9 a.m. on weekends, so the open run is definitely the answer!

The outdoor hot spring is the main attraction.
The Szechenyi Baths consist of three outdoor pools and 15 indoor pools. The outdoor hot spring pool is the main one. It is not as hot as we think of hot springs, but rather lukewarm, slightly warmer than my body temperature. However, it is not cold even if you visit in the winter.
There are also lanes for swimming, but you must wear a swimming cap to enter.
A comprehensive summary of all kinds of tips
I'll introduce some small, subtle tips for those who plan to visit the Szechenyi Baths.
1. Lights come on at night
So the night is more beautiful. If you have time at night, I recommend the night too!
2. Personal dryer use is not allowed.
Only the dryers on site can be used.
3. Slippers and flip-flops are a must
You can't move without this. You absolutely must bring it.
4. I recommend visiting Heroes' Square after visiting the Szechenyi Baths.
It's right in front of you. Let's plan a course together!
