Maurits Cornelis Escher, a Dutch graphic artist, is famous for his original and geometric prints and optical illusions. Escher used geometric patterns, symmetry, and repetition to elaborately represent impossible structures or create works that stimulate the imagination using optical illusions.

The Escher Museum is located in a space that was built in the 18th century and used by the Dutch royal family for a long time. The museum in a classic palace, which has been renovated into a modern exhibition space, is great because you can experience the royal architectural style as well as viewing works of art.
