A Must-See Performance in Rome,
La Traviata at St. Paul's Within the Walls
When you arrive in Rome, we highly recommend seeing La Traviata at the legendary St. Paul's Within the Walls. La Traviata is one of the most famous operas by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, consisting of three acts and now performed worldwide after starting in Venice.
A Special Performance in a Church

The La Traviata opera, held in the chapel, the symbol of St. Paul's Within the Walls, offers an unforgettable experience in Rome. It provides a grand feeling that is different from an opera house.
Solid Storyline

The main story of La Traviata is as follows:
A party is held at the house of Violetta, the flower of Parisian society. At the party, Alfredo, a young nobleman who sees Violetta, falls in love with her. However, Violetta is suffering from consumption and has been indulging in momentary pleasures, so she hesitates to accept his pure courtship. However, with his persistent courtship, the two begin to live together in the suburbs of Paris. However, Violetta pays for living expenses instead of Alfredo, who has no sense of living, and soon the funds run out. Alfredo, who learns of this, leaves home for a while to get money, and in the meantime, his father, Germont, visits Violetta.
He asks her to break up for the sake of his son's future, and Violetta follows his words. Leaving only a note, Alfredo, who learns that she has disappeared, thinks that she abandoned him because of money. The two reunite at a glamorous party in Paris, and Alfredo insults Violetta by throwing the money he won from gambling. Germont appears and rebukes his son's rudeness, revealing that Violetta left because of a misunderstanding. Violetta is now unable to recover due to illness. She meets Alfredo again while dying, and they miss the beautiful days of the past, but Violetta eventually dies.
