The first and the largest
Seoul Grand Park Zoo
Visit the zoo in Seoul Grand Park and meet a variety of animal friends! The zoo, located within Seoul Grand Park, is the first zoo established in Korea and boasts the largest scale in the country. Inside the zoo, you can meet about 3,700 animals of 332 species from around the world, including the globally rare species, the Jersey gorilla. We operate both an outdoor and indoor exhibition hall, so you can see animals indoors even in the cold winter. The zoo also has a botanical garden and about 8 kilometers of forest bathing, so you can enjoy forest bathing for 50 minutes to 3 hours!

Animal Friends from all over the world
The zoo operates separate exhibition halls by country and type of animal. The exhibition halls categorized by country include the Australia pavilion, where you can see unique animals living in Australia and New Guinea, and the African pavilion, where you can meet animals from the African grasslands. Additionally, exhibition halls categorized by animal species include the Ape Hall with monkeys and gorillas, and the Flamingo Temple where flamingos live in groups. Don’t miss the ecological briefing session by zookeepers where you can hear stories about animals in each time zone!
Sky lift and nature
It is the largest ecological park in Korea, and many Koreans and foreigners visit it, especially during the spring and fall seasons because the mountains around it are very colorful. Take the sky lift to the expansive zoo. You can enjoy the natural scenery unfolding beneath your feet for about 15 minutes. In addition to the zoo with its large lake, Seoul Grand Park is famous for family trips and dates because you can visit Seoul Land, the Art Museum, and Botanica Garden. You can visit the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art for free, so you can enjoy art as well!
