meet everyone
The MMIPO Porto Misericorgia Museum is located on Via Pollores in the city's historic centre. From the mid-16th century until 2013, the Society's headquarters were located in the building. Many years later, after several building renovations, it was finally reborn as a museum facility.
One of MMIPO's many goals is to inform people about the history of Misericordia and the goals of this organization. Additionally, many art exhibitions reflect the group's memories and identity, and also inform future projects.
Visiting the museum is also an opportunity to better understand Porto's past and future. It also houses the Church of Misericorgia, a steel and glass building, and the Patrons' Gallery. Built in the 16th century, the church undertook extensive renovations in the 18th century.
